Ginger beauty in the morning

In Hawaiʻi, there is a special time of year when the ginger flowers burst into bloom. Suddenly, they seem to be everywhere—their vibrant colors impossible to ignore and their presence impossible to miss! I mean you just have to be here to see it; its amazing!

This painting is inspired by the ginger plants outside my doctor's office. While waiting for appointments, I often found myself drawn to them, watching as the sunlight filtered through their petals. The way they glowed in the light was simply breathtaking.

Those quiet moments became a reminder of hope and of how deeply simple experiences can affect us. Sometimes, all it takes is pausing to notice the beauty around us. What might seem like an ordinary moment can become something profound, filling us with wonder, comfort, and a sense of possibility.
