The anthuriums in my backyard seem to smile and say hello everyday. Their glossy leaves and vibrant colors have a way of brightening my day. No matter how overwhelmed I may feel, the moment I look at them, I can't help but smile.

With this painting, I wanted to capture that same sense of joy, energy, and vibrancy. Some of the anthuriums in the background are painted in shades of blue and rendered more abstractly. For me, blue is a color of happiness, peace, and possibility. The sunlight filtering through the flowers symbolizes hope, resilience, and the reminder that even in challenging moments, there is always light to be found.
